Government initiates to sing national anthem for Guinness record


DHAKA, Feb 13, 2014 (BSS)- The government has taken an initiative to assemble thousands of enthusiastic people at the National Parade Squad in the city on March 26 to sing the national anthem, aimed at including Bangladesh in the Guinness Book of World Record.

A coordination meeting of Steering Committee was held at Dhaka Cantonment’s Armed Forces Division with Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, MP in the chair, according to a handout.

The meeting was attended, among others, by Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, MP, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, MP and senior army and civil officers, the handout said.

The meeting discussed the latest progress, budget and the next course of initiatives, it added.
