“Amar Sonar Bangla” to recite simultaneously on March 26

DHAKA, Mar 2, 2014 (BSS) -Three lakh people will recite national anthem “Amar Sonar Bangla” on March 26, marking country’s 43rd Independence Day, to make it as world record.

The recitation will take place at National Parade Ground at 11am. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurated the function at 10.45am.

Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor made the announcement at a press conference at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy here.

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, Information Secretary Dr Ranjit Kumar Biswas and Armed Forces Division Principal Staff Officer Lieutenant General Abu Belal Mohammad Shafiul Huq.

Freedom fighters, students, garments workers, armed forces members, cultural personalities and general people will participate along with renowned singers at the ceremony. But children below 13-year can not take part in the function.

To mark the day, the national parade ground will be remain opened at 6am and participant can enter into the ground till 10.20am.

Noor said the national anthem is recited in different tunes, so that main tune of the anthem is passed in the cabinet and it will be maintained everywhere.

“In order to recite national anthem in a same tune, it will be broadcast on media in specific tune,” he said.

The minister said the anthem will be recited in same tune in different districts, upazilas, schools, colleges and universities
simultaneously on March 26, except in the parade ground.
